The Argentinian reflects on the Copa del Rey win
A contender for the team's Goal Of The Season was scored by Kevin Gameiro against Real Betis, as he smashed the ball in from outside the area to open the scoring against the Andalusian side.
The goal came in the 59th minute of the game, as Gonçalo Guedes cut the ball back to the Frenchman for him to pull the trigger, sending his shot in off the back post past a helpless Joel Robles.
Gameiro has previously got onto the scoresheet against Real Sociedad, FC Barcelona and Levante UD (twice) this season, with the goal against Betis his fifth of the LaLiga campaign.
In 17 matches against the Southern Spanish side, the striker has been victorious on 11 occasions. He has had more wins at their expense than any other team over the course of his career, and scored against them six times.
Gameiro was substituted on 73 minutes, to the sound of a raucous ovation at Mestalla.
